Pandora's Cultural Glamour Photoshoot

Pandora’s photography experience was inspired from her deep culture to her native land of New Zealand. She wanted to show the roots of where she came from and at the same time, grow in confidence in who she has become after moving away from her family.

Being a native New Zealander our culture, land and family values run deep and to capture this in a photoshoot was my main reason to make this happen as it’s special to me.

I wanted to celebrate not living in New Zealand for the sake of having a better life for myself and show how far I have come and what I have achieved.

“My family was the first reason why I wanted to do it because it was a cultural photoshoot and when I think of cultural I think of family and love.”

Before the photoshoot, I was nervous as I had never been to a professional photo shoot before and I was worried about how the photos would turn out .

During the photoshoot, I felt exposed to be honest, but in a good way!

It really made me realise that I was scared of being confident and that was stopping me from being comfortable. Once I realised this, I slowly loosened up and made me see myself that I am confident and I just needed to believe it.

It opened up apart of me that I didn’t realise I actually had. I’m usually comfortable around people and myself but doing the photoshoot I feel I reached a whole new level of confidence.

“I wanted my family and even myself to admire that part of myself in how far I have come.”

“After my photography experience, I felt great! I felt like I loved myself even more and had more confidence in myself.”

I started to think about myself after the photo shoot in a new way and how much it made me more confident.

I feel really proud that I brought my culture into my photoshoot to show my native New Zealand side and upbringing and the fact that I am so far away from my home I wanted to do this more.

The final photos are very sentimental to both me and my family. I had sent copies back to New Zealand and the family loved them especially my mother.

If you are thinking of doing a photography session or you have already booked in, you may feel uncomfortable at first but trust in the process and you will end up feeling more confident in yourself when you go through the experience.

Self love is key and this will give you that boost!
