My favourite photos from October 2022…
1. Ghostly
I love to drape gauzy fabrics over women during photo shoots, It transforms them into ethereal ghostly figures from some mysterious fantasy realm. It creates a sense of veiled mystery, of otherness and inbetween.

This photoshoot was so special to me because all the themes revolved around books. During the session we took time to sit on the studio floor chatting about our favourite characters and Authors, sharing recommendations for out next bookstore visit. As a child I read a lot of books, fantasy books, and they made me realise that with the right tools you can create almost anything and transform yourself into anyone.
It is a joy to spend studio time with someone who loves stories just as much as I do and a pleasure to bring her fantasies to life through Portrait photography.

Wanting to capture her alter ego of Persephone, Goddess and Queen of the Underworld, Filly fully embraced her dark side. A modern photographic portrait captures not only a person’s likeness, but also their identity, and their emotions – it helps the subject see themselves differently, in the best way possible!

In October we are inspired by all things spooky, dark and Halloween themed. Dark Angels, ghosts and demon queens Run amok in our studio.

Inspired by classical renaissance paintings and ancient marble statues, there is such beauty in this elegant nude portrait and its simple silk drapery

It is incredibly rewarding is seeing the transformation of the women that walk into the studio: nervous and timid at the beginning, but also briming full of hope, and by the end of her experience she is ready to take on the world with her newfound confidence. Nude photography reveals so much more than your body!!
