I wanted this glamour portfolio because I‘d love to see the transformation of my regular self into a glamorous me.
This is also particularly important to me because I rarely see local Perth photography businesses showcasing individuals with my skin tone.
At first glance, this can be disheartening and off putting to the whole experience. Instead of being disappointed, I see an opportunity to get myself out there and try to get that representation from the next woman who is probably disheartened like I was.
I want to encourage more photography and modelling businesses to notice and acknowledge beauty from all sorts of colour spectrums. Just imagine how much beauty Perth has to offer and I feel as though I should start somewhere.
I would do more than just admire the beauty of the photography, I would showcase it however I can and work towards inspiring more women like myself out there to find the confidence to also be proud of the skin they’re in.
After my glamour photoshoot at Zest Photography, I felt confident and proud of myself.
