It is an inspiring evening where we give each other feedback, hear the amazing stories of our clients and create new Ideas for the next month.

My favourite photos from January 2021…
1. PRINCESS & PEARLS.
Josephine was an absolute princess to photograph, her family came to us for her first birthday, it had been such a hard year for them. They had yet to introduce their new daughter to family overseas and over east – these photos for them were a way to show how proud they were of their new family and to show off their gorgeous little princess to their family. They wanted to create something artistic and simple, and this image was just that.
I love the soft lighting and the way she is perfectly positioned, her whole world in that moment was all about these beautiful little pearls she was so intrigued with.
2. A FATHER’S LOVE.
I love this image of Ravi and his son, her had such an amazing bond with his kids. It was amazing to watch their interaction and how he allowed his children the space to learn and grow and show who they truly are. A lot of times as parents we forget to savour the moments in our busy day to day lives.
This image for me shows an unbreakable bond of a father and son.
3. FAMILY DYNAMIC.
One of my favourites’ this month – I love how real this image is. How does a single dad split his time between these two beautiful children? His daughter has such confidence in the connection she shares with her family that it barely phases her the antics happening between her dad and brother. She is just happy sharing a cuddle while they share a moment.
Amaya has such a beautiful expression it draws you in.
4. JUST A CUTIE.
What can I say he’s just so cute snuggled up with his teddy’s I couldn’t go past this photo 😊
5&6. LEGS IN THE AIR LADIES.
These two photos happened days apart however they are quite similar in feel, one lady had amazing gymnastic ability and wanted to show that throughout her shoot and the other was inspired by a photo of Kendall Jenner she had seen and wanted to create something for her own.
They were both so fun to shoot and captured the playfulness of a these woman and a bit of an out of the box look.
7. CULTURAL WARRIOR.
Joanne had such a wonderful and sad story – she had come to us wanting to find confidence in herself again, after the death of her partner and mother a few years earlier and being diagnosed with a brain aneurysm which she was told could burst at any moment she was living her life in fear. She had told me she had always wanted to do a glamour shoot to show not only her feminine side but also to do something to show how proud she was for her indigenous heritage.
She told me all about this dance and how it represented her women being strong and taking care of the land - they would teach it to all the little ones, and she was so proud she had the opportunity to show it off. I was in awe of her absolute strength of character and beauty.
I could feel how much her culture and history meant to her and how proud it made her to share it with me. And how proud I was to be part of this journey for her.
8. ASS-TITUDE (ASS + ATTITUDE = ASS-TITUDE) 😊
Every woman needs a little ass-titude in their lives. This was absolute gold we had so much fun in this shoot and I loved being able to capture this cheeky photo.
9. SECOND CHANCE AT LOVE.
Earlier this year we started showing that not only woman need a bit of confidence in their lives. Troy came into the studio wanting to find and accept himself. He had a dramatic change in his life and after 18yrs of marriage he decided to part ways with his wife and find himself.
This photo shoot for him was a second chance to love himself. A lot of times in society men are told they allowed to show they are fragile or hurting this photo represents a pain of not knowing yourself fully and the struggle that we all face with ourselves it also represents the strength that it takes to change your life for the better.
10.DARKNESS AND THE LIGHT.
Missy was such an amazing shoot for me I was inspired by her and her story… and the effort she put into her fantasy shoot was outstanding. It made me want to create something she had never seen before.
Missy had a dark and troublesome past with an abusive relationship and a son she had to protect through it. I related with her story as a mother you only want happiness and joy for your children and when you find that the fairy-tale has turned into a nightmare it rocks your entire world.
In this shoot Missy wanted to remind herself of the darkness she had faced and fought to come through and the happiness she now has with her son and new partner. These two images are completely different and that is how she sees her life – The darkness has gone, and she is now living in the light.
This is how powerful photography can be and I am so privileged to be able to create such special pieces of art for my clients that hold such meaning.
